Karel received a MSc degree in Electromechanical Engineering Technology at KU Leuven campus Ghent in July 2013. He started his career as a lecturer in Electromechanical Engineering Technology at the Odisee University of Applied Sciences. After that, Karel worked in the private energy sector as project engineer, project manager and business developer, specializing in energy systems. Karel is currently working toward a PhD in engineering.
